How about, anyone who's not got a big container could start it off (only need 1.5 pint container at first) - whilst they have fun shopping for the 8 pint container during the first week. Or, just use your kitchen bowl or something for the 5 minutes it takes to add the water and sugar at the end of the first week, then store it in empty drink bottles.

Son, aged about 13 (!!!) at the time, watched me ironing, switch off iron and put back on stand to cool.  "Is it hot he asked me" (after I've just ironed!!) so I told him to touch it and find out ...  ;)  :o

Anyone else done their ginger beer yet?

It's been a week so I made it up to 8 pints and now I've stored it in a big plastic bottle for another week to "mature". Yum yum can't wait.... (DH was grumbling the other day that I hadn't got any left and he's got to wait a week for some more, so looks like I'll have to keep up a production line now)
