Parking in London
Im travelling down to london from nottingham on friday and will be going down the M1. I want to park somewhere and get to my mates house who lives near baker street train station. I will be leaving the car from around 5pm friday untill 6pm saturday and then driving it back.
Where is it best to leave it? Im happy to pay a car parking fee but don't want to get ripped off and do want to leave it somewhere relatively safe.
Any help would be appreciated.

Easiest is to park in an NCP but it's expensive, the one on Marylebone Road to the right of Baker St is outside of the CC zone.
Otherwise, find a meter pay until the parking charge ends about 6.30 in some places, and leave it there until Saturday. Then Saturday you need to pay for 4 hours and then move it and pay for another 4 hours.
Money isn't an issue, put it NCP and forget about it0 -
do you need to have a parking permit even quite far out of london? Are there any places where, god forbid, you can park for free?

Junction 4 of the M1, Stanmore tube station. £3 per week day, £1 at weekends. Then get the tube to Baker St (direct).0
