Virgin Reject - Any Suggestions

After applying for the Virgin cc last night I have just received an e-mail saying they are unable to give me a card on this occasion. They are suggesting I apply for an aqua card from SAV Credit Ltd, but this comes with an APR of 35.9% which is even higher than my BoS card.

I have just recently received a Barclaycard Simplicity card and transferred some of my existing BoS balance there, but wanted another card to transfer the remaining balance too. Should I try applying for another card now or maybe wait a couple of months?

My mortgage is with A&L and I am in the process of selling and buying another house - would I be better applying for their card at 0% for 12 months as I may have a better chance of getting that as an existing customer? My salary is paid into A&L and I also have a loan with them for £2500 which was only taken out in January for new central heating.

Any advice is much appreciated.
Thanks

Cant advise on which card you could apply for.

However, A&L credit card is issued by MBNA the same as the Virgin card is. I doubt there would be much point in applying if they have already turned you down.
No Longer works for MBNA as of August 2010 - redundancy money will be nice though.

I wouldn't I would apply for a diffrent card and Virgin and A+L Credit card are both run by MBNA so if they have turned you down for the Virgin card they will probably turn you down on the A+L one as well, apply else where I would say

I would not apply for several cards in a small period of time, it would low your credit rating, therefore making it more difficult to get another product. I think the credit ratings change / update every 3 months.
