I would like some April sun

Can anybody point me in the best direction for a weeks sun in April please?

We are two adults and two children (age 8 and 9 or poss 10, depending on which dates in April). We would like to depart from Newcastle between the dates of 17 and 24 April and must return 1 May at the latest. In order of preference we would like to go to:

1. Gran Canaria - Playa del Ingles
2. Tenerife South
3. Fuerteventura
4. Lanzarote

Tend to go s/c usually as a lot of hotel rooms do not have one room for the 4 of us, but I won't rule anything out without considering first.

I have had a quick scan of the main co's eg. airtours, thomson but nothing stands out.

No absolute budget but for 3* it would be nice to come in less that £1000, however if I could get 5* for £1200 to £1400 I would go with the 5*. Just like to feel that I have got the best deal available. It's for 7 nights by the way.

I think that I've stayed at the Tenerife hotel before and it was fine. They all look OK and I can't decide which to choose so I think I'll check out the flight times and make a decision based on that.

I have just booked 7 night in Gran Canaria , we are going to Puerto Rico on 17th April for 1 week, 2 adults and 2 daughters 9 and 11, got great price through First Choice direct on teletext , they done a 'custom made holiday for us' came in at just over £800, others were quoting around £1200 .We have a taxi transfer to the hotel as apparently it takes ages by coach with all the stop offs. I searched for 2 days on the internet and then took a quick look at teletext and gave them a ring. Paperwork has all come through , did get a bit confused at first though as it all came seperate, Flights with Freedom , holiday with First Choice taxi with somebody else , then Thomas Cook for the airport parking at a hotel by Gatwick.This definately saved us some money,I always shop around.
