Why just a day trip?
You can often find a hotel room for less than £25.
I couldn't be doing with just going for a few hours.

Did Stansted to Salzberg in a day late last year.0630 flight out,2100 ish return.Flight was 2p each,local bus airport to town centre under 2 euro each way.Great day out!

Yes it was.Just looked at the latest 2.50 offer and it seems there is only 1 flight in each direction per day now.But an overnighter is still good.

I have been to Barcelona for lunch before and come back.

Lübeck is easy to do in a day, the old town is lovely and is a Unesco site, plus we took the local bus to Travemünde, a seaside resort which was brilliant.

Just booked a day trip to Cork which is only £1 each way.

Lubeck is good, I did venice on a day thip from stanstead with ryanair, long day but got 8 hours in venice.
