problems with hotmail

hi, new to the forums, but recieved the emails for a while, thanks to all.
now, my problem,
at some point i've opened up a dodgy email or went to wrong site, and now my hotmail account is playing up, i've spammed everyone on my email list with a spurious vacation advert, then my list was erased. now when i get an email, including my mmt emails, hotmail sends same advert in reply. i.ve ran avg, anti spyware, and anti malware but nothing found. also changed hotmail password, but still happening.
any hints?
oh and i'm almost computer illiterate, so please keep to laymen terms.

It seems your computer has been hijacked by a botnet. This is where your computer is now controlled by the spammers and it'll send out whatever it wants.

Try downloading this, update, and run a FULL scan and post the results if you haven't already done so.
