Thanks everyone, I love the 5 finger shuffles some of you do :rotfl:
It says on the jars, once opened use within a month? Normally I'd ignore it but as it has raw eggs, I'm not sure if it might cause a tummy bug?
I'll go have a look on Approved Foods though, that's a brill idea, thanks! :cool:I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Old style MoneySaving boards.

I suppose they have to put that on things but I never take much notice of it. I live on my own, so even the smallest of most things I can't always use within the time "stated".
I tend to go by the smell and taste (and possibly if it's changed to a strange colour ) and haven't had any problems yet.
I remember once (when I was at home) taking a jar of tomato puree out the fridge and it smelt just like wine. That went in the binGrocery challenge - Nov: £52/£100

Although mayonaisse is made with raw eggs if it has been put in a jar it has been treated and any bugs have more than likely been killed off.
It's homemade mayo that I would worry about0
