:( Esprit Win Waste Of Time!! :(

I won a £25 voucher with Esprit that expired 30/04/09
I decided upon a pretty purple top for work for £24.99 - a week later I notice I have an email to say the order was cancelled as my credit card was declined.
I contacted them to say it shouldn't matter as nothing needed to be taken from my my card as the voucher covered the order cost only to receive a reply to say that vouchers can only be used if you spend more than the value of the voucher!
Now this might have been fair enough if it was stated in the winning email but it wasn't!
I feel like they are just getting out of giving me my prize
Am gutted as I was feeling like giving up anyway after a very very dry spell whereby entering over 1000 comps only got me 5 wins and then I lose a win as well!

Not sure if this is any good to you but I think it's the cheapest thing on the site and it would take you over the £25 voucher amount http://www.esprit.co.uk/?camp=UK_IC_GG_SB_40_0010

:oI feel awful about this as i posted the comp. Hope they sort something out for you. Personally i feel that the comp has been a waste of time, I can't believe they are saying that you need to spend more than the voucher! I only expected that for the £5 voucher! :rolleyes:0

That's a dry spell? lol I worked out last year I won once per 1000 competitions :rotfl:
Seriously, that Espirit thing really sucks though  Surely it should have said in the terms ??!!?? xxxx:j A-well-a bird, bird, bird...b-bird's the word :j0 -
The way they have worded the prize is totally inaccurate. They should have called it a £25 DISCOUNT which is what it is. Apart from having to spend more than the voucher value is there any other minimum spend rule? Thanks to everyone who posts comps, I love winning prizes big and small

Aw hun, that's terrible. I hope you write them a strongly worded letter questioning the legality of it? I mean, if you win a voucher there should be no minimum order.
Fingers crossed - there must be something big coming your wayLiving with Lupus is like juggling with butterflies0 -
