It would be to see who would save rather than make the largest amount of money.

The prize would be the ultimate - to be Martin's apprentice.

Yeah i undersatnd where your comming from Tibbs and it sounds great !!

Not being funny but i was thinking to save money you have to spend money first!!

So maybe everyone should be given a set amount of money to start off with and see how much more money people come back with after a task?

Which would mean it is upto the canidate as to where to spend the money ie. cashback / gambling etc?

    Yes, that's true.

What if the contestants could use their wits to blag freebies? Spinning competitors against one another. Put them into a consumer bidding war - that kind of thing.

  • A sort of consumer monopoly, but in reverse - where the consumer monopolises where the business flows (perhaps through word of mouth or using skills of persuasion).

Perhaps the consumer panel could persuade a business to reduce their product to, e.g. a few pennies cheaper than the competitor.

The skill would not be selling, but to influence the dynamics of selling to meet the demands of the new, savvy consumer.

  • The players of the game could be labelled MP's, and just as our MP's lobby for change, so would our Money Preservers/Protectors.

  • Businesses wouldn't know what had hit them if we all pooled together.

We could play online, and lobby for change.

    A collective consumerism.

  • With one ultimate winner - the consumer.
