Internet organist

Could I ask on of you PC boffs to try and download a program to see if you can get it to work. The program is on The Hants & IOW masons website and can be found in the notices section "Does your lodge need an organist". Its a Zip file and I've tried to download it run it as per the instructions in the text file but I can't seem to make it work. It would be very useful to me if I could get this working. Any help would be greatly appreciated as always. Thanks

I think that that expression means a t'InterWeb !!!!!! enthusiast...

Re. the request, sorry but not a lodgical one

No offence but I thought that Masons (amongst other things) were supposed to help each other: No other fellow initiate keen to help??

For the avoidance of doubt, no I have absolutely no involvement with Masons other than visiting occasional jumble sales & recitals held by non-masonic bodies in a local hall.

    Cheers!

Lodger (No, not that sort of Lodge...)

They weren't confusing organist with onanist were they?

Seriously... if it's a zip file and you have Windows XP or higher, you should be able to double click to access the files, if not download free 7Zip to decompress.

Having downloaded and unzipped you open the folder ILO then open the folder MIDI there you see the list of tunes (the first is "Advance To The East") Just double click each tune title and it plays in Windows Media Player.

Hope this helps but if you need further enlightenment feel free to send me a private message.

Thanks for the replies so far, I can assure you it's a genuine program to supplly music for meetings. As BigAl says you should be able to set up a lodge number and open up a playlist. I've downloaded it unzipped it and run the program as suggested but there are no lodge names in the dropdown box. Looking in the lodges folder I think I should be able to open Aultone or the default lodge in this drop down menu
