Canary Islands are a still your best bet for a bit of sun at this time of year. They have the added advantage over North African resorts in that they have a reasonable standard of hygiene too.0

Egypt or Lanzarote depends on what you want if it's laying in the sun and good food i'd go with the latter if you want to do a bit more than Egypt

Have just returned from Egypt - went to Sharm El Sheikh - got back Monday night.
Temperature was 28 degrees every day with cleark blue sky and perfect blue sea - lovely and warm and the temperature is rising all the time.
I have to say that the level of cleaniness in the place we stayed was first class and could not be faulted - and I wouldn't say that anywhere we went was dirty - and I am a "monica" from friends if you know what I mean!Nice Shoes & Expensive Designer Handbags, are my downfall!0
