bought a Thompson freeview digital recorder last Septemeber (£89.99) and it's just died on me.
I was a bit worried about whether I would get a refund as my dog had chewed the hell out of the remote control! (not the reason the box died by the way as the remote still works!)
Anyway I took it back to Comet customer services and had literally barely pulled it out of the bag, when the guy says, 'don't tell me...orange light just stays on and the unit won't boot up? - just go and choose another model from the showroom and I'll exchange it' I went and chose a (different) slighly more expensive model, paid the difference and that was it. Couldn't have been simpler or less hassle.
