Also, the £2.75 cap on postage is a cap, not a target! Suddenly half the books and magazines regardless of weight are being listed with £2.75 postage which is nonsense and just clutters up the pages with thousands of unsold items. I was doing a search of completed items in the book and magazine section, I was surprised to see so many standard magazines being listed with £2.75 postage when the same issue I have here weighs 170g packed and goes as a large letter for 90p 1st class.
I don't think it is fee gouging, I actually think some sellers don't understand what the £2.75 cap means.
Sorry, But can I just ask. the 2.75 capped postage on books, is that per book ? as I have a set of encyclopedias that I wish to sell, but at last check they would have cost me £20 odd quid to post ( as a set )
If I was to put them on as a set would the max postage I could put be 2.75 ?
Thanks in advance x0 -
There are some ways round it for sets, if you sell them as a 'lot' you would probably want to send them by courier anyway and you are allowed to show courier rates rather than Royal mail. What you can't do is pretend you are sending a paperback by courier then bung it out Royal mail.
I suggest you weight them and then check out the courier thread before you decide what to do with them.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
