Halifax Share Dealing

Has anyone had problems receiving funds from Halifax Share Dealing?
I've had a couple of times where I've sold shares through HSD and asked for the money to be transferred straight to my bank, only to have to chase it a couple of weeks later.
Are these genuine errors or a regular event to improve their cash flow?

Please let me know if you've had a similar experience.
(Apart from that, I'm very happy with them...)

I just started a transfer out today, so will let you know.

The message that popped up was that it would be transferred immediatly to your account, though theres nothing on my halifax current account so far.

I suppose you have to give it 4 or so working days which is what halifax share dealing mean by immediate

My last stock was sold ! I am free of halifax share dealing ... a medocre platform, with higher charges than elsewhere... good riddence !

I've used their internet service for years with funds transfering, throuble free, in and out of my nominated bank account.

I use squaregain.co.uk , cheaper, better, faster... the bionic share dealing platform

What I can't stand is that they only accept 1 day limits at Halifax, whereas with squaregain I put the limit in to buy and sell and then could be months later there hit, therefore does not require daily monitoring..... the limits will take care of themselves - eventually...

The money arrived in the early morning 18th March 2006 into my halifax current account.

So took 2 full working days.

I sold shares through Halifax Share dealing on 2nd April with a settlement date of 17th April. I phoned Halifax on the 19th as the money had not yet reached my bank to be told that it would be in by the end of the day. I phoned Halifax again on the 20th to be told that it would be in by 4.30pm on the 23rd. I phoned today (starting to lose the place now!) to be told that the money was sitting in my share dealing account and they didn't know it was supposed to be immediately sent to my bank (???) but that they would transfer it immediately and it would be in the bank on the 27th. What an absolute shower of incompetents!! Needless to say, I will not be using them again.
