Grrrr i'm Cross, >:( just had a look at my ebay and my feedback ratings and i've been given a negative feedback in my once 100% positive feedback.
What can i do?
I had won a bid to purchase a car in an auction at a price the seller did not envisage selling at (they had not put a reserve price on!). (It would have been bargain of the decade)
Through emails (personal) from the seller during the auction they were asking us to bid early as they were thinking of withdrawing from the auction last minute as the price was too low!!!
At the end of the auction they refused to sell it at the price demanding/requesting (again through personal email, which i've kept) virtually double the price the car had been won at. :'(
We stated no thank you and contacted ebay due to refusal of sale, therefore no transaction. The Sellers also contacted others who had bid on the car in attempt to sell it to them as well - we know this because the bidders contacted us to warn us.
(Are you getting the picture so far- nice people- the sellers i dont think!!!) So we left a negative rating stating sellers didnt want to sell at price won at and left it at that.
So thats my pitiful tale, the sale i dont mind, but the negative rating...... what can i do?
With thanks in advance

I've just been left my first also.
Buyer has claimed my goods are fake and that I am a low life. Which is not true as far as I am concerned mine are as good as anyone else and I am giving a proportion to charity.
No contact just a straight negative after I had left a positive for him for prompt payment.
And his feedback is only 80%.

you can get them removed by ebay, but i dont know how, try the community board at ebaysmile --- it makes people wonder what you are up to....
:cool:0 -
There's not much you can do to remove them if the other party won't co-operate. The best way to deal with this is to put a reply saying 'Retaliatory Feedback - seller pulled out of sale'.
As long as you are straight to the point and don't insult anyone, and you have a good record otherwise, people will generally recognise such feedback as retaliatory and it will not harm your sales.
It doesn't matter how nice or honest you are, sooner or later you will come up against the EBayer from hell who will damage your feedback.0 -
Yeah , report him etc.., - but don't worry about the neg, I had 1 , doubt it's ever put anyone off dealing with meAny posts on here are for information and discussion purposes only and shouldn't be seen as (financial) advice.0

You won't get the feedback removed unless the wording is, for instance, defamatory.
Don't pay too much attention to it - I've started to realise that far too many buyers don't bother to even read the advert, never mind look at your feedback!0 -
it's hardly worth bothering about these -ve's.
The best thing tio do is respond to feedback (ones you've left, and ones left for you) you can add extra comments on to the end of teh feedback0 -
If I'm selling, I NEVER leave feedback until its been left for me and I state that when I email the buyer to tell them that their item has been despatched. No negs yet and i've only ever left one neutral for someone else but perhaps i've just been lucky. Lots of people have at least one neg, it doesn't put me off buying from them but if they aren't 100% then I always read their feedback before bidding. He huihuinga taangata he pukenga whakaaro – A meeting of people; a wellspring of ideas (Maori proverb)0

You can't get the feedback removed or else your neg feedback for the seller will also have to be removed (well, it doesnt get removed as such, its sort of hidden, mutually agreed withdrawal I thnk they call it) However, you can post a comment under their feedback, any other potential buyer/seller will see that you are genuine. Besides, everyone who does much ebaying will know that you can't account for the occasional bleep bleep who messes others around. I know its tough to lose your 100%, but honestly, dont worry.
