Car Lease through work
My wife has just learnt that the lease car she gets through work has to run its course (3 years) before she can get rid of it. The story is basically, we can't afford the lease car and want to give the car back and end the lease. The department that cover this at work say that the only way the lease will cease is if she leaves her employment...
Is this right? Anybody have any ideas to bat towards them?
Thanks

I'm afraid it's true we signed up with my work and we have found ourselves in the same situation, they gave me a bigger car than I asked for and it's a fuel eater!
I think there is a way out but there is usually a charge of around 4k!
Sorry I didn't have better news!0 -
Yeah. i have checked this before and dont think there is a way out. But maybe someone else might have some ideas0

Not sure if you're being serious, but don't do that! You'd lose all your employment rights, which no-one needs in a recession!0 -
You will need to read the contract and find out what the early termination clause says. I assume your wife agreed to this contract at the start and in effect was a perk her company offered?
You have not given any real details.0
