Virgin CC promo turned off

in Credit cards
The husband applied for Virgin CC 0% 16mos. Shifted some debts over and first payment was delayed 2 days coz he was waiting for the statement which didn't come earlier enough. This happened in February when we only got 28 days. Statement arrived last week of Feb and due date was on March 01. He has been charged £12 for late payment fee but they also turned the 0% interest for 16 months off. He was charged almost £200 for the interest!!!!
Spoke to Virgin and they said that it is under the T&Cs. They have managed to put it back to the promo rate but still have to pay that £200!
Has anyone experienced the same problem?

I hope he's now registered his details on Virgin's website.
Virgin provides excellent online services. There's no need for anyone with a pc to rely on postal statements.
Might be an idea to set up a direct debit to pay the minimum amount. That way, it's Virgin's responsibility, not his, to make sure the monthly repayments get there on time.People who don't know their rights, don't actually have those rights.0 -
So many stories like this! I have also noticed that lots of cards now say on their homepages that offers are conditional to payments being made on time and staying withing credit balance. Chalk it down to experience. After all , you won't do it again will you! :-p
