holiday dissater

hello every one, back in october me and my wife went to turkey for a week it was a dissaster we booked through a local travel firm and we went with goldtrail we requisted a quiet small hotel no kids etc but when we arrived at the nice quiet hotel it was quiet because it was closed we were taken to another hotel which was noisy kids everywhere and the food was discusting we had to spend our spending money on eating out we have complained to the travel firms and tesco credit card (who we payed with) but with no help can anyone help us please paul:eek::eek:

    So what exactly did you book.
    When you say "we requested" was it one of those deals where they find you a hotel when you arrived, or did you book a specific hotel.
    It matters because I think your rights would be different in the two cases.

    When you say the food was disgusting, what exactly do you mean?
    Can you be more specific (I had almost raw eggs in France that I wouldn't eat but I think that's what they do in France).
    Did you highlight your concerns to the hotel over there? Did you give them the opportunity to put it right?
    Did you have choices, a buffet or what?
    Was the hygiene a problem or just that you didn't like it?
    Did you complain to the rep? or get in touch with the holiday firm at the time?

    I'm not having a go but we need a lot more information in order to help you.
    I paid 25 Euros for a buffet breakfast in France.
    I didn't like it and the hard boiled eggs were raw, but I accept that there was a great deal of choice and most of it simply boils down to my preferences some of which are cultural.

    You also need to give people the chance to put things right AT THE TIME.
    Did you do this?
    Do you have names, dates and times of people you spoke to and when?
    I win a lot of complaints and it's partly due to the fact that I take a great deal of detail down about whom and when I spoke to people. It does help a great deal to make complaints credible.
