Niggle Regarding Outlook Express 2003

Another small niggle.
When I have Outlook open so it shows "Programme Files Outlook Today" with Calendar, Messenger and Tasks showing, how do I get the Tasks to line up in date order?
They seem to come up in any old order, and yet when I click onto Tasks and try to get them in date order it just does not seem to work when that little part of it is closed down and I am back in "Programme Files Outlook Today".
Any ideas out there?
