in Credit cards
Hiya
Just wondered what is the safe time to leave between credit checks?
We have a a credit card coming off a 0% rate in June and ideally we would like to apply for a new card offering 0% (abbey one seems the most ideal for us)
My concern is that 5weeks ago we got creidt checked/scored in a DFS store when ordering our sofa , we passed but just wondered what is a safe time to leave it until we apply for new credit?
In the past my partner (whos name it will be in) had a mobile phone contract denied after the credit check (approx 6months or longer ago) but i can only assume its coz shortly before we had been credit checked for something else and they dont like it happening too often do they?!
Any help appreciated

If you have good credit history it doesn't matter too much how often you apply. You have only applied once before with DFS. I would try again now if you wanted. If you do between 3+5 searches I would probably hold off another 6 months before applying again.0

You can have a couple if seaches to no detriment so I would think you'll be ok now search wise.Got Halifax Classic to reduce my interest rate by 5% woohoo - 10/06/08 Thanks MSE!
Another 3% shaved off 10/12/08
ANOTHER 4 % June 09:beer:0
