New Phone Contract - Right to cancel?

I recently renewed a Vodafone contract, however it has been nothing but trouble. It's been less than two weeks since I took it out. Spoke to a vodafone advisor and they said that I can't cancel and would have to pay. I thought that you can legally cancel the contract withing 14 days. Can't seem to find it on their website (funny enough).
Could anyone confirm this?
P.S. Is there are a body that you can take complaints with phone companys to i.e. similar to the financial services ombudsman?

Normally its 14 days that start on receipt of the goods.0

Thanks sporedude. That's what I thought. Vodafone advisor obviously deliberately misleading me. Their customer service is ridiculous.0

That's fine either way. 14 days rings a bell somewhere though. Can't see it on the website and they didn't send me new paper T&C's through the post. They were informed within the 7 days though.0

Search on the mobiles forum but I think the consensus over there is that the 14 days only applies to new contracts, not renewals.0

Dunno if its 7 or 14, It was a conflicting post in Vodas forum0

Yip, although effectively it still is a new contract.
