Thomsonfly cabin luggage limit now 5kg?

Thomsonfly-When doing an online flight only booking (no checked in luggage), the baggage policy (that has to be read and accepted) states:-
Baggage Policy for Flight-Only Customers
All flight-only customers will continue to enjoy a free generous hand luggage allowance of up to 10kg.
However, TUI have sneakily lowered the cabin hand luggage limit from 1st May to 5kg (and also the max size from 55x40x20cm to 43x28x23cm).
Regretably, Thomson do not inform their customer of the lower allowances at the time of booking but they do write it in the small print of the booking comfirmation received after the flights have been paid for.
Their website FAQ also makes clear that 10kg can be taken on board but if one delves into the section Flying With Us / About Your Flight / Baggage Policy the following can be seen "All flight-only customers are entitled to a free hand luggage allowance of up to 5kg"
As regular Thomson travellers will know, hand baggage is weighed at check-in.
And there are many on the forum who bemoan Ryanair!
