Recently hubby filled out some forms halifax sent him to prove his financial hardship
he then got a letter back about how they believe he has been charged fairly etc and they are going to get him an appointment with one of their money management teams
Where do we go from here? they owe him nearly 3k in charges. He has been unemployed for 10 months and they saw from the forms that he had all these outgoings and yet only income was job seekers and child benefit

is the household income insufficient to cover this? I would say if the Halifax have given their final decision or it has been 8 weeks then you should go to the FOS and ask them to look at the case. Include arrears when you deal with the FOS and all priority debt arrears and his unemployment details.marshmallows wrote: »yes he has mortgage arrears0 -
what is the FOS?
Household income isnt sufficient and they know this, but then again maybe the letter we sent them wasnt good enough
Maybe we can send them another letter saying how badly hubby is struggling, mortgage arrears etc
What are priority debts?0 -
