Emails and windows accounts

Hi there,

I am looking at doing some unpaid IT work for a small company in town but have hit a snag, they have a few machines with only 1 windows acount per machine (no domain) and only 1 email address for all the staff. the staff have said they would like and address each which isnt a problem, BUT can i create many outlook profiles on a windows account and it still be secure, ive read the answer is no but can someone clairfy this.
sooooooo do I create user accounts for each user on each machine to sort of mimic a doamin and maybee share a drive for central documents then create outlook profiles on every acount for each user... i think not.

do i blag them into getting a small server (which they cant afford) and set it up properly...

can i have multiple outlook profiles within one windows account and it be secure.

do i get some small pen drives, put some email software on it and a mydoc folder, thus work can be caried round with them and emails, its secure if the person doesnt leave it somewhere and the company only have to pay for the drives...

this is for a small travel shop and the staff are woried about quotes coming in for mrs A and Ms B stealing the quote and getting the commision, also the staff will more than likely be keeping sensitive documents that they dont want the other staff to use.

hope someone can clear this up....

Best solution is to move them onto some sort of web-based email system.
most webhosts will provide a such a system for hosted domain email anyway. but it does depend on how the email is provided atm.

I remember outlook express used to have password protected identities, this isn't that secure however and the later windows mail expects you to use differnt logins to manage identities.

i think im going to go for the pen drive option and use a portable version of thunderbrid and link the my doc to the pen drive so work can be done anywhere at any time.

if that doesnt work then il install thunderbrid on each machine once i know how secure the profiles are.

the web based idea is good and may well look into that. seems to solve my problem quite nicely .
