Hi - have you tried googling disabled fishing. There are a lot of organisations, and a good forum link - sorry, couldnt import it here.

His OT may be able to help. There was a new article on it here in the south east last year.

I regularly take a disabled relative fly fishing in my part of the world and with a bit of adjustment they can indeed have a great time. In my case, although mobile, they can't go far and also have one arm with very restricted movement, so I do tend to a fishery environment instead of a river for easy access/facillities etc - Although the one I use most often has a good wild trout stream right down one side of its property too. ;)

If the fishery owners/staff down there are half as obliging as the folk here, your brother should have no problem with getting help. One thing, do phone in advance & ask when is the best time to come.

I don't know what they fished before but another tip might be to get them to go down a couple of weights on their tackle - My relative found things became much easier when I got them a 2/3 weight rod, reel & line to replace their old 6/7 weight sea trout gear. Although some fisheries do set a minimum weight if they only stock larger fish. Ask.
