How to speak to an actual person at paypal

Options
Hope I'm putting this in the right place but if not please feel free to move to a more suitable location.

I've just had a problem with my paypal account and no matter how many questions I asked the automated on-line service or searched the FAQ's I was still clueless so I rang their expensive customer service number, was sent round and round in circles costing me a fortune and still didn't have an answer. I tried pressing 0 to get a real person but that didn't work.

I have now however discovered that the magic word is AGENT. I had to persist and say it a couple of times as it tried to send me in circles again but I did finally get through to a real person who answered my query at last :T.

Hope this can help someone in the future. Just keep saying AGENT at the silly automated man and he'll have to let you through in the end x

I've always got through in about 3 minutes? Just listen to a couple of menus and then you get the option to talk to a representative.

i find the system annoying as it makes you listen to endless options and then sounds as if the call is ending right before it gives the option to speak to an agent, in my opinion that is no accident but a ploy to make it difficult to find the option.
Soolin is right, you can get through it in about 3 minutes if you know the system but still, 3 minutes of listening to irrelevant garbage is a long time.

It shows how high they hold customer service on their list of importance.
