Can't order instore from M&S

I'm really cross at Marks & Spencer. Without any advance warning that I've seen, the order desk in my local store has closed down.
They often don't have any stock in my size - it sells out too quickly. So now I have to go to the internet or phone them - and delivery will be charged for.
I'm old enough to remember when M&S offered a service (and it helped their profits). Too bad that Mr Rose has presided over yet another service cut that helped differentiate M&S from many others.

Our local M&S is the same you have never been able to order things if they do not have your size. They point out it is an M&S Food store, but they always have lots of underwear gifts etc. in.0

I found out this, last Saturday, they have taken away the order desk!! Very, very annoying! Now you have to pay for delivery!0 -
I noticed this when we were in the large M &S store in Hedge End.
I think it shows lack of foresight as if you are in the store, even if you order something instore, quite often you will also buy something else whilst you are there. I know we have0 -
I noticed the leaflet in-store a couple of days before the policy changed...as I was being served by one of the managers in the Chester store.
I politely pointed out what a mistake I felt this would turn out to be in a very constructive way. Rather than saying she would take my comments on board and feed them back to Head Office she was very rude and dismissive of my comments and went off muttering when she had finished serving me.
Appreciating that customers keep them in a job? Don't think so! I work for a loan company - I do not post to represent the Company view or to promote their products or services. Please be nice to me!:eek:0 -

But they don't offer free store delivery - or at least I couldn't find an option on their website.
This is really poor service though and it can mean you are effectively paying more for the same item if they don't have your size in store and you end up ordering it.
I don't want a delivery at home. I would be quite happy to wait a few days to pick up an item from my local store.
Maybe it's a swap for equalising the price on the bigger bras.
I have emailed them with my view I wonder what the reply will be....0
