in Credit cards
Ok so i have had a lucky escape i hope from using a CPA to pay for web-hosting but i would like to purchase some with a different company but would like to know which method to use. So i out of the methods below what is the safest way to pay for it?
Im assuming postal order is pretty safe?
Payment can be made via PayPal (We're a verified UK Merchant), using a credit or debit card, or cheque or postal order (UK Only)

PayPal is pretty good in that respect, providing you don't set up a subscription.Starting Debt: ~£20,000 01/01/2009. DFD: 20/11/2009 :j

You can't get out of your retailer obligations - that is why we have Trading Standards and if you're selling online (i.e. CNP) then the Distance Selling Regs (DSR 2000) comes into play which offers more protection than PayPal could ever protect against, in that if the buyer isn't happy then you must refund even if they have opened box and decide to change mind or argue it wasn't as described.
An example here, I bought a PSP from a well known store and they sent me a Jap version; this was not advertised (no UK plus either) so I asked for refund; got told no cos i'd opened it. I explained I had to open it to see it and use it - how was I to know it was wrong? Not many people buy a new 'toy' and read the box word for word before opening it! Anyway, they refused to refund me so I claimed DSR2000 and got to keep the PSP (goodwill) and got my refund.
If they do not adhere to DRS then they can be closed down and heavily fined. PayPal is not that great and tends to stand by buyers so as a seller you may lose more - also they retain your cash for 30 days if electronics or certain categories and you;re new. Google checkout may be better..... Paid out twice monthly.
Just bear in mind, there are other laws out there to protect buyers from unscrupilous sellers (not suggesting you are, but some are!)2010 - year of the troll
