I am presently with n-power for dual fuel. n-power have said they will raise prices from 1st April. If I use a price comparison site before then will it use the present or new price in its calculations?

It is hard to tell at first glance whether the prices have been updated on the comparison sites.
UK Power have a page on their site that tells you about which prices are being used:

As far as I can work out comparison sites are using the new figures which come into effect on 31 March.
I don't know what npower are up to but it seems that their sign online tariff has not increased (and is not due to increase on 31 March). Indeed it seems it may have reduced in February. Their sign online prices are about 25% less than standard and you can get a £60 rebate. This sort of begs the question are they planning to increase the price in the near future?
It seems odd because there isn't any publicity about this and it's almost as if they are deliberately trying to lure customers over before raising the price.0
