Missed payments on Barclaycard

Hi, i've missed about 3 payments for my barclaycard. I basically had my head in the sand and haven't faced up to the fact that need to sort this out. I'm not bothered about having the credit card itself anymore, or any other form of credit for quite a while. To be honest I'd rather not live beyond my means. Can anybody advise what are the options open to me? Can I pay Barclaycard X amount per month until its gone, at an agreed amount, or do I have to pay at the rate in the agreement? Again, I'm not worried about using the card anymore. Whats the best thing to do when I call them up? I've moved house since I've taken the card out so I've not received any mail statements. (yes i know, and i don't want it to get to the point where debt collectors are knocking on the new tenants door). I'd really appreciate any responses. As the debt is £2000, I didn't really think bankrupcy would be the best place to post this.

Hi Silverstar189. Welcome to MSE. You should be able to agree a reasonable repayment plan with Barclaycard, but it won't be easy. What you really need to do, as you seem to have recognised, is start living within your means. Head over to the "Debt Free Wanabee" board and read the New Posters sticky at the top of the board. Then explain your situation and your SOA there and the people who frequent that board will be able to help.
