Barclaycard dont want to pay back.

After using our Barclaycard to purchase a holiday investment in company called Terranova. Which was a well organised scam of which our Spanish solicitor as told us since. And even after sending the documents and other paperwork they still say there is no breach of contract or misrepresentation. But under the credit card act 1974 it seems we have a case. I have sent an email to our solicitor in Spain to see if they can forward us on letter headed paper, to prove that this is fraud and why they are taking this company to court on our behalf. It just seems to me that Barclaycard just doesn't want to know, i've even ask them in a letter to state exactly what they require but just get the same standard letter back. If anyone can help with some more advice it would be appreciated.

Have you told Barclaycard that its fraud?
What reasons have they given for not investigating it?

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker
They may not invesdtigate it as they may think it as paying through a 3rd party?
  • The Spanish solicitor said it was fraud in a well organised scam i've sent the same paperwork to Barclaycard which is a copies of the originals and they will be taking them to court, but they still say that the evidence isn't enough and need more so we have contacted our solicitor so they can forward a document that will hopefully convince them that as and did occur so at the moment we will just have to wait for this reply. Even so when I asked them exactly what they required in my first letter I sent I got a standard letter back the same as the first, and it takes them week to reply.

Ok so charge it back under s.75.

Its then out of Barclays rubbish hands..... dont worry about it, laws are there to protect you, it aint up to the crappy bank mate. p.s. learn the lesson...... Barclays = worst bank in uk!

You could just write a dispute letter and refuse to pay, Barclays cannot do much if you never authorised payment, don't worry...
