If you are very careful.
Try it somewhere out of sight first to gauge the paint reaction. In the spare wheel well or behind some trim is favourite.0 -

Personally I wouldnt - try polishing them out."You were only supposed to blow the bl**dy doors off!!"0 -
cellulose wont touch original oven baked factory paint at all
it may /will effect and ruin cheapie paint jobs or aerosol jobs0 -
T cut/similar stuff will remove scratches etc. Thinners will leave rub marks. You could get thinners mixed with panel wipe, thats a bit more gentle...0

I would not advise using such on your paintwork/body work of you car.
I would instead go for a cutting compound, I often have used T-cut if it's just a minor bluff or similar.
However for bigger things I would go to a body shop0 -
i succesfully removed the gum from decals fitted to a van once with very light application of thinners and then polished it up afterwards. it worked a treat, but use very little thinners....work permit granted!0

I used thinners today to remove the water membrane adhesive from the painted inside of a car door. There was a small amount of colour on the cloth. Bear in mind this hidden paint had no lacquer covering. I wouldn't risk it on visible paintwork though, lacquer or not!0
