right ive made up my own soundtrack album from random tracks i like

ive managed to use the get info option to title them under the same album name and made the cover art for it

can i make it automaticly number the tracks 1/40 , 2/40 and so on ...or does it matter?

seems a bind manualy using the get info and changing track numbers

I don't think it matters, unless you want to sort by track number, and I don't think you can automate it either...

anyway to alter in what order they appear when i browse that album?

Sort them by the order you've got them in the playlist (column closest to the left) and it'll have that running order when played back. Just drag tracks up or down accordingly until your happy.

This is all just in case you don't know, don't call me captain obvious! If you want them all in order you need to put the 1, 2, 3 in manually - type in the box and click next to save closing and opening the window. However for the total number of tracks - 40, you can select all the tracks, then right click, get info, and type 40 in just once. Same for album art etc.
