Amazon Jersey - watch out!

The point about "don't order it if you don't want it" is correct, although you have missed the point.

"Fair enough" would apply to an order that had been dispatched - I was talking about the ability to cancel an electronic transaction that had not been processed (3 mins later when I noted the mistake).
I was just warning fellow forum members who might be expecting the same level of service as Amazon UK when they click on the Amazon Jersey sidebar - you will not get it
"Good Service" is far more than how well they can stick a label onto the right box and post it to the right address- it is how a system reacts when something unusual happens to remedy it to the Customer's satisfaction.
Perhaps the previous posters would like to give us examples of the Good Service they have received outside of the expected successful delivery? This would be useful information to counteract RubyBish and my experiences. :T
I have had two emails from Amazon UK already explaining that their own system allows cancellation right up to despatch...
...response from Amazon Jersey? Nothing yet - backed up by RubyBish it seems...
Strangely enough, Amazon UK come out well from this experience. :A

I don't think companies in Jersey have to honour it.
I think it is an EU law, and therefore EU wide (though probably applied very differently in different countries) however Jersey is not part of the EU, so no it does not apply.0 -
Similar T&C's from tesco and amazon jersey??? Could they be one and the same???
Well yes, they are. I may be wrong, but at the mo I believe both jersey operations are supplied by a distribution company called Entertainment UK based in jersey. Been there a while and may not fall foul of the new law mentioned (for similar reasons to play.com)0 -
I've bought two things from Amazon Jersey - DVDs. Both were very cheap and both turned up damaged; both had a cracked case and both had the DVD merrily rattling around in there getting scratched.

Its to do with Fulfillment orders with tesco and amazon jersey. tesco jersey and amazon jersey will not be able to work with the new loophole. However play.com which is a fully Jersey company will do well, as it won't be affected."An eye for an eye leaves the whole world blind" - Mahatma Gandhi0
