Application Approved?

I just recently applied for the BarclayCard Flexi-Rate, took about 3-5min for the decision and it says it was approved, and i will get the card within 5-10 days yay!
Then i thought about entering my address wrong, whether i put my house number or my flat number (the post man can get it wrong sometimes) happened to me a couple of times my letters got delivered to a house number instead of my flat.

So i call up to check and they said my application has been declined? i explained to the people over india that it said it was approved, but obviously they're worse than robots. repeating the same sentence over and over again. "I will receive a letter within 5-10 days explaining why" So ok i thought whatever, and today i receive an email saying my application was approved with 5k limit i call them again and the same story my application was declined!

Any ideas? a glitch in barclay's system? has anyone been approved and then got declined afterwards?
Anyway i went applied with Halifax instead and got approved there too, i've read bad reviews about BarclayCard so maybe i dont exactly need this one.

Well at the end of the application when i saw i will receive the card with 5-10 days, i was worried whether i entered address correctly on the application, putting the House number instead of the Flat number. Believe it or not, I've done it a couple of times, instead of putting "House Name, Flat No" i put "Number, House Name", which gets delivered to house down the road.

But anyway that's not really important, what happened is i called up to confirm my application and address, after the security questions they said my application was declined for which it was approved.
