PAYG handset. No line rental required there!

    Pay by DD.

    Opt for paper-free billing.
Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.

    DD and No paper billing?

Therefore, not only do you lose control of your finances, and to a firm that will wreck your credit file without a mont's thought - you don't even get the safety net of being told 10 days before the debit that £6k (or whatever) is coming out?

Talk about a culpably negligent solution!

Keep your finances under control. Manage them yourself!

BT send me an email 14 days before my DD payment is due - plenty of time to check the bill online.
