QQQ currently i'm paying £24.99 for my connection with virginmedia, this includes phone line rental, 2 mb internet connection and 7.99 for phone call package which means i dont have to worry about making landline phonecalls. ie 7.99 for all landline phone calls i make for the month, i can spend 60min per call and then have to redial, and i can do that as many time a day as i like, 7days a week. no phone call expenses that way. useful if you phoning everyday, and you dont want a high phonebill.
I had a email from virginmedia about a month ago saying that all people on 2mb will be upgraded to 10mb, at the same time that told me my package would go up £1.
so £25.99 for £7.99 for the phonecall package, phoneline erm £12.99 and 10mb connection when they upgrade me, currently 2mb at the moment, for the remainder which works out about £40 -
Does Sky have to be with BT line?0

All ADSL requires a phone line and regardless of whose name is on the bill it will cost you at least a tenner a month and probably more. If you don't want the phone line for use as a phone then stick with cable as it will work out cheaper (based on you saying it would cost you £20).Does Sky have to be with BT line?0 -
02 There seems to be a lot of interest in this. I dont know much about it as i am still tied to a contract with Pipex who are now Tiscali. :eek:The solving of a problem lies in finding the solvers.0

I was under the impression you can lease a phone line off BT for data only and it was a lot cheaper for the line, and then find a cheap adsl service.
With that Talk talk are cheap and reliable(ish) you get a phone with free landline calls and broadband for £20.
I say reliable(ish) as I have lost connection here and there, but its never been for long. I find it more than acceptable for the price I am paying.Have my first business premises (+4th business) 01/11/2017

There are indeed some very good O2 deals to be had but only if you can get the LLU products (ie not the Access product). If taking that route be sure to go through Quidco - currently £70 cashback.02 There seems to be a lot of interest in this. The reason I'd not recommend O2 Access is because it was badly oversubscribed a while back. O2 did an upgrade but once again there is moanig that it is again too slow at peak times.0
