We fold our carrierbags by shoving them all inside another bag, and then shoving that bag into a cupboard that already has several hundred bags in it.

Then we bend down and pick up all the bags that fell out onto the floor and shove them in again (but a bit harder this time), then we shut the door quickly.

When we go shopping we never take any of these bags with us, that would spoil all the fun....

You won't be saying that when the government either ban plastic carrier bags or all the shops are charging 10p apiece. ;)

Sorry, Fire Fox anyone spending their time devising a way of specially folding carrier bags is probably anally retentive and as for someone who'd actually make a film about doing it........OMG.

I think that's nifty! :T We pay 22c for a carrier bag over here. I actually don't mind, I'm used to it now. I always keep at least one bag in my handbag - now they won't be stuffed in all higgledy-piggledy!
Trying to spend less time on MSE so I can get more done ... it's not going great so far! :)
Sorry if I don't reply to posts - I'm having MAJOR trouble keeping up these days!

    That takes so long...

The quick way goes like this: With one hand hold at closed end, and with other squeeze along bag towards handles to get most of the air out forming a tube. When you reach the handles, hold and begin to wrap bag tube round hand holding the closed end. When almost done pull handle end through the hole in the middle.

Okay so it's not as neat but its super quick and aids storage. Maybe I'll make a video!!!

I thought the video must have been a wind-up. All I can do is quote Shirley Conran

Life's too short to stuff a mushroom!

I'll keep my spare carriers scrunched up in the bottom of my handbag, as always

I thought it was clever. Nothing new though as my daughters were taught to fold crisp bags up like that when they were at school. To save bin space apparently.

My Mother used to ram them into an empty cardboard tube - loo roll tube with the ends folded in & keep that at the bottom of her handbag, saves hunting for them.
