    What's the problem with it?

I was in the same situation as you with a nine year old boiler, I suggest you try one of those boiler cover comparison sites as I did and I get a yearly service and full parts and labour cover for around £160 per year from eon.

If you've not had any problem with it so far then I wouldn't bother getting a service contract, too expensive.

If you want a service, look in your local paper for a registered gas engineer to service it. Call 2 or 3 to get price comparisons. Unless you're in mega expensive London I'd image it'd cost in region £50 or so.
The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.

I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.

I pay £9 a month to BG. It is to cover breakdown with £50 excess but also an annual service which we've just had.
They do various plans though, not just the one I'm on.

I'd leave it in all honesty, and invest in a good, reliable carbon monoxide detector.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it - as my Dad repeated to me many times. :rotfl:

I was the same, Boiler 5 year old. I went with BG Homecare 1, £13 per month and £40 back with Quidco. That is for a yearly service and parts and labour 24/7.I found this was the best deal about when you want a servie included.

When my Worcester boiler needed a service to validate the guarantee I contacted a local CORGI man who said that boilers needed no servicing until they went wrong and it was impossible to say when this would happen. So he looked at the boiler, signed the service card and charged me £50 for the privilege. Nice work if you can get it.
Named after my cat, picture coming shortly
