I have just found some info on the R4 card, type in nintendo ds R4 in the search bar at the top of the page, click on forum and search and it should bring up the thread [oh I so hope that works!!!] hope that helps cos it has for me and I'm off to order one now Helen :j

From what I can work out R4 cards are the same is the EDGE card, they all do the same job but vary slightly.

I'll have a search on here now.

Right, I think I'm beginning to udnerstand.

I'm just about to order an EDGE card, then going to order a micro SD later on.

How do I go about downloading games?

I'll send you a PM with the links to what websites I use, I doubt I'll be allowed to put it on here.

If you're off abroad on holiday, how do you feel about taking a DS with an illegal card through customs?

Puzzlequest - a bit like bejewelled but with a bit of a twist - sat down to test it for my DD and looked up an hour and a half later. We got it for flying to Vancouver, and it did the trick.;)

Check out gamespot.com for the top rated games, saves spending money on cheap games that turn out to be really bad.

My personal all-time favourite is Animal Crossing - I could spend hours wandering round my little village talking to the other little animals in it, collecting fruit, fishing, rearranging furniture etc.

I'm 39 though, so you might find you prefer Sonic or MArio to get you through a long flight, but I find it's not as relaxing.
Brain training has lots of sudokus but gets tedious pretty quickly.

Get the Edge card over a R4. Save you thousands on games. Get them from http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/365486/edge-ds-card-at-deal-extreme-11-30/

I was under the impression they can be used for loads of things?

I got the Edge card, just trying to find a SD card now.

I LOVE bewjewelled, so will def have a look at that now. I was thinking about Animal Crossing, though I'm not sure I really get the point of it.

I would like a green silicone case, but can only seem to find them on Ebay from Hong Kong.

Kick @ss games for the DS. These are some of the games I'm playing now or have played. There are other games I love but can't remember them all as they're on different SD cards and I'm too lazy to go get them.

If you love Animal Crossing I really suggest you play the Enchanted Folk game. It's better.

The World Ends With You, (this game is amazing)
Grand Theft Auto China Wars, (plays really well on the DS)
    Animal Crossing,
Professor Layton And The Curious Village, (great for puzzle fanatics)
    Mario Kart,
    The Sims 2 games,
Enchanted Folk and the School of Wizardry, (it's like Animal Crossing but bigger and with loads more things to do)
    Cooking Mama 1 & 2,
    Gardening Mama,
    Rhythm Paradise/Heaven,
ZUBO, (I can't put that one down at the moment),
    The Guild,
    Fashion Designer Style Icon,
    Hidden Objects,
    Dream Day Wedding Destinations,
    What's Cooking With Jamie Oliver,
    Scrabble,
Sherlock Holmes DS The Mystery Of The Mummy,
    Secret Files 1&2,
    Cate West The Vanishing Files,
Imagine series ( I love all the Imagine games),
    My Sims 1&2

The SD card is where you store your games, it slots into your R4 card. You use the R4 card the same way you use a DS game.

Ooh I forgot to say you can watch movies and listen to songs on your DS when you use the R4 or equivalent cards. Happy Days!
