choosing between 2 tv models.

I help look after an elderly neighbour and he wants a new tv and has narrowed it down between 2 models. He will be watching a lot of sport and has some HD programming thru V+. He will not at any point be getting a PS3 or blu ray player etc !
now the 2 models he has chosen are
Phillips PFL5403 32"
Samsung LE32 B450
Now the reason he has chosen these 2 is that they both stocked by a local shop who will also install them (I think the price is the same for both) and if he has any problems they will come round and sort out, he is happy to pay over the odds for this level of service as it will give him piece of mind. I am just wondering before he places the order if anyone could recommend one over the other ? Any advice greatly appreciated !

There really isn't much between them.
I would say that samsungs generally have better quality screens but I can't find much info on that model.
The philips looks very good and does have the added advantage of a USB port for pictures/music.
I would go off response times of the screens, the philips is 6ms but I can't find anything on the samsung again but I can't imagine it will be far off.
Dare I say pick which ever he likes the look of and would look the best in his front room.Have my first business premises (+4th business) 01/11/2017
