Ryanair online check in starts tomorrow

There are reports in several newspapers that Ryanair start online check in tomorrow.
I'm travelling Liverpool to Nimes on Friday 17th with just cabin luggage. I would like to use the online check in facility but there is nothing about it yet on Ryanair's site.
I wonder if anyone know if there is an advanced time limit for this. And if it is available for Liverpool.
It's great to be ALIVE!

Their site isn't overly clear on this...
Perhaps it is like their new baggage policy which comes into effect on all flights booked from today onwards.

i was confused on their baggage policy too!

We booked before the 16th but are flying after!

Anyone shed any light on this?

I was told by Ryanair staff at airport a couple of weeks ago that as far as they knew, it only applied to bookings made after today. They said they didn't have much info either.

That's how I interpreted it. There was a report on BBC Five Live this morning.

£5 per checked-in piece of hold luggage.

...and it's definitely bookings from today onwards, NOT flights taken today and booked previously.

Thats true. Had to phone Ryanair a few weeks ago and asked about luggage charge and was told it didnt apply to flights already booked.

I'm flying later today, but I booked some time ago. Do you know when the checked in baggage is increased to 20kg?. I'm not sure whether I'm still on 15kg.

Dunno, Party_animal. I'm guessing it will coincide with the levying of the checked-in charge, and therefore will only apply to people booking today or thereafter.

This is mere speculation, y'understand :)

i am so glad i got martin's mail out yesterday, booked a flight dublin to la rochelle return for €20 return (wow!) - am so glad i acted straightaway last night and booked instead of dithering as i normally do, as man would i have been annoyed if my baggage cost a third of the price of the ticket!

By the way it's £2.50 to check in your bag if you do it when booking the fare. £5 if you don't bother and have to check it in at the flight desk. And, as mentioned above, only applies to flights booked from today on. so there's going to be an annoying period when people in the check in queue in front of you get their bags on free if they booked yesterday, and you don't if you booked today.

    Didn't realise that.

Can't say I look forward to the inevitable arguments and bickering at the desk when someone doesn't realise they have to pay and is frantically rifling through their pockets looking for £5.....
