Pending Payments on Account

since last week, i have had 2 payments pending on my bank account, these payments have affected my "current cleared balance" ... but have not showed on my statements.
because of this i dont know who is trying to take the money, i phoned up Barclays but they can only see what i can see on my online statements, so cant tell me who is trying to take the money.
i have never had anything take this long to show up on my statements,.. i waited even longer over the weekend as i know it was a bank holiday,... but it should be showing on my statements today.
the 2 amounts are:
£150
£41.56
i dont remember spending anything like this,... dont really want to cancel my account with fraud until i can confirm/unconfirm the actual company requesting this payment.
any ideas?

Have you checked back over the last month or so to check your "standard" s/o's and dd's?Got Halifax Classic to reduce my interest rate by 5% woohoo - 10/06/08 Thanks MSE!

They could very well just be card authorizations that will automatically cancel off.
Don't panic - you're protected against fraud, and they might turn out to be entirely harmless anyway. Wait for them to hit your account, and if you don't recognize them, just call in and get the amounts disputed. What would William Shatner do?0 -
got an update on my account,
the payments were for the following, dont recognise any of them.
Card Purchase - £150.00 - INTERSAFE GLOBAL
Card Purchase - £41.56 - WWW.CLICKANDBUY.CO
Card Purchase - £10.39 - WWW.CLICKANDBUY.CO
Card Purchase - £149.03 (REFUND) - INTERSAFE GLOBAL S
any ideas? .. i havnt speant anything like the above, havnt joined any casinos, etc.
and why did intersafe refund 98% of the credit they took?0 -
Both companies are 'merchant acquirers' ..... who process card payments (one looks specifically related to '888 Casinos'). So if you're not using your card ....... someone is!
Possible that the refund is a neutralised payment because of suspected fraud. The value difference suggests the 'purchase' may have been in other than £Sterling ..... and there's a small discrepancy in the exchange rate when crediting the refund.
Would suggest getting the card stopped ... if you're convinced you're not responsible for the purchases. If you want to test the depth of the water .........don't use both feet !0 -
