Have you rung the tech help line to get this fixed?

On my lap top the touch pad sometimes stops working, I have to unplug, take battrey out and then hold the power key down for 12 seconds (or more) this somehow fixes it.

The tech helpline told me this after I had not bothered ringing them for 6 weeks in about 30 seconds!

Have you tried what I suggested? might work.

Make sure you get all the data you need off the netbook before sending it off as they have a habit of reformating them to fix them.

At worst you should be entitled to a full repair, at best you might be able to get a new netbook as a replacement or a full refund (at the retailler's discretion).
