Using the Egg Money card with a positive balance

I'm looking at using my Egg Money card as my main spending card and also for drawing out cash. I plan on maintaining a positive balance on it at all times. Does anyone know if this is a bad idea for my credit history since I'm not technically borrowing money and thus not building up a credit history any more? Or does it still count towards building up my credit score even though I'm operating the account on a positive balance?

Don't really see the point in using it that way - better to keep the cash in a desposit account and then pay off automatically each month after the interest free period. Should gain a few pennies and build up good credit scoreTANSTAAFL !0

I agree with the above, but I think positive balance doesn't affect your credit history. There is no special status (that is recorded for last 36 months) for an account having a positive balance. Only one most recent positive balance amount will be shown on your files.0
