GRRRR! If ONE more Ebay buyer......

......doesn't at least contact me re payment after nearly a week, I'm seriously thinking of giving up.
I'm owed well over £100 by 3 buyers who have all had 'problems with my PayPal account' and I'm still waiting for an echeque to clear after nearly two weeks.
Surely it's a given that if you don't have the money, then don't bid!
I wouldn't mind quite so much if they at least communicated without me having to chase them.
Anyone else having problems with uncommunicative numptys?

its one of the many things you must put up with to sell on ebay
its a high price to pay for many private sellers just wanted to make a little spare change0 -
My sales have shot up, I don't quite know why? However with the increased sales I have noticed that even on my business BINs some buyers, a small percentage admittedly, are not paying for a few days where I would normally have expected payment within two or three days normally.
I usually send a polite reminder on about day 6 or 7 and then open a disput eon about day 8. I've just closed my first NPB dispute in about 8 months as well!I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Sold 40+ Things over the weekend, still awaiting payment from 7. One of those things, expect to open NPB disputes on 2 or 3 of them.0

I can only assume that the curse of eBay non-payers has struck, and there has been a spate of recent deaths in the family, cats walking on keyboards, and 3 year old kids placing the bids.
I'm so close to changing everyuthing to BIN with immediate payment only, although from the last 6 auctions I've run, 3 are turning problematic for one reason or another. Each of them have been personal sales via the business selling account, and I seem to have attracted the inarticulate and uneducated detrious of society with some of the stuff I was selling.
Why do eBayers think they can get away with acting like this? Nobody goes to Tesco Direct, Argos, Play, or any other online sales venue, places an order then does not bother to pay or communicate with the seller.<--- Nothing to see here - move along --->0 -
I always used to have BIN with immediate payment enabled on my business sales but my current line attracts younger buyers and I am getting a few postal orders and don't want to lose those sales.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Over the last year or so, the number of people I have paying by non-paypal has dropped significantly - from about 20% down to the occasional one or two per month.
I have more non-payers than cheque payers, so the decision is not far off. I'm giving it another 6 weeks or so to decide, and I know I am not alone in this thought process either. People may scowl that it is strengthening the ebay/Paypal grip and more fees etc, but face facts - if people continue to jip me around with non-payment, then I'm happy to accept the ebaypal charges to stop them.
Once again, it is the actions of a few, that will affect the many.<--- Nothing to see here - move along --->0 -
I can't really offer BIN on my listings - I'm just a private seller and I sell an eclectic mix of years of collected junk.....err sorry fine antiques and art
and I'm never sure what the items will go for. So far I've had some excellent sales, but it's typical that the 3 things I'm awaiting payment for are the highest priced! "I'm ready for my close-up Mr. DeMille...."0 -
Norma, the fact that three people have contacted you to say that they are having problems with their Paypal account surely indicates that it's Paypal at fault and not the buyers. In fact, I can assure you that this is the case. The message that comes up is:
The PayPal site is currently experiencing technical difficulties with our credit card processor. We are working to solve this problem as quickly as possible. If you would like to use your credit card, please return to the PayPal website later to complete your transaction. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
Lesson to be learnt - don't blame the buyer - blame Paypal if they so obviously can't sort this situation out. Buyers are being affected too.0 -

Deep breath Steve, deep breath
I was virtually 100% paypal and for a while I took off all other payment options as I actually hadn't received a cheque or postal order for well over a year.Probably once this current line ends I will go back to paypal only and immediate payment required on my BINsI’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
