Hi
I have a real problem. Whenever I log in to my laptop the desktop icons do not appear. The wallpaper does but no icons or taskbar. I have to run taskmanager (ctrl/alt/del) and log off and then log on again to see the icons
Anyone know what the problem maybe? I have ran AVG scanner and not found any problems there.
Thanks

Do you recall exactly when this started happening? If so you should do a system restore to the day before the problem started:
Start>Accessories>System Tools>System Restore0 -
sounds like explorer.exe is not running I know thats not hugely helpful unless you have some program with which that you have inadvertantly managed to disable it at start up.0

yes I think this has something to do with it....when I log off it says to me that explorer.exe is still running and it shuts down that process (if that makes any sense to you)
Any idea of fix?0 -
Sorted it
Ran CCleaner and cleaned registry and that did trick0
