re-connection and broadband

I have 2 daughters moving into a flat in Edinburgh soon. At the moment it has a phone line which has been disconnected. Looking for advice as to who would be the best company to use for reconnection and a broadband package.

Can't help with 'best' but the cheapest (£0) will be BT.Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0
