Would this comment suggest that you work for a local authority?0 -
Take it to your local trading standards office I was in a similar position and wanted out of the contract, the trading standards said the direct debit mandate I signed was out of date so I was able to cancel it

No, it suggests they're naturally bitter and twisted, and a well known troll!Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
You can usually defer membership for certain circumstances with a doctors note. Or transfer membership at discretion of the local authority gym.
Otherwise you will probably just have to pay it as everyone else does when they tire of the gym. I would guess that more than 50% of people don't go for the full 12 months even though they still pay.:j Trytryagain FLYLADY - SAYE £700 each month Premium Bonds £713 Mortgage Was £100,000@20/6/08 now zilch 21/4/15:beer: WTL - 52 (I'll do it 4 MUM)0 -
Not dating something like this is absolutely no "loophole" to get out of it being enforceable.
The date is purely put into an agreement to record the date it is signed.0 -

Thanks for all the replies. I'm in the process of seeking some legal advice about it (Scots law), so i'll keep my fingers crossed.
