watchers and new listing confused

I have listed about 40 items this evening. I noticed that some of my listings had watchers after about an hour of listing for a 7 day listings so i thought i woudl have a look and see how many of my items showed up when i did an advance search for my user name.
About 16 items that ive listed already show up (dont know why but ebay often take up to 6 hours to get all my listings on which can be annoying as thats time i lose out on the listings) however not one of the items that have watchers on show up.
So i decided to key word such those listings and again not one is in the search results or show up on sellers other items.
So my confusion is how can i have watchers on items that arent in the search results yet???
